I recently wrote about the birth of the only panda baby cub in a U.S. Zoo this year. Now the baby panda has been placed in an incubator this past Monday for closer monitoring by sue keepers. There isn’t a lot of information been released about the situation. However, the video TV that visitors to the zoo had been able to watch has now been suspended. Zoo spokeswoman, Simone Griffin, it’s not really lean very much about the situation. However zero after shall stated in a release that they wanted to more closely watch the baby based on behavior between it and its mother, Lun Lun in the Zoo’s birthing den. Zoo official’s inseminated Lun Lun with this sperm of another panda named, Yang Yang in April. An ultrasound later confirmed the zoo keepers suspicions that the procedure was a success. Officials said, "A lot of people wonder whether this is less exciting for us because it's our second birth…Every giant panda birth is important. We are just as excited about this birth as Mei Lan's." The birth of this new baby come to is a major success for the zoo and draws in hundreds if not thousands of visitors every day. This new development may be a sign that the baby panda is in some kind of trouble. This could place the zoo’s recent success in danger. In the wild male pandas typically don’t stay with their offspring after they’re born. So the zoo is keeping the father, yang yang, up in from the mother and a baby.
